Position: Experiential Learner: Mechanical Engineer/Technologist
Location: Sasolburg
Business Unit: Maintenance Facility Team
Closing Date: 05 September 2024
Reporting To: Maintenance Leader

Qualifications:
- Required: Mechanical Engineering (BENG/BSc(Hons) Eng, N Dip, or B-Tech)
- Experience: None (recent graduates with no work experience are encouraged to apply)
Responsibilities:
- Support Asset Mechanical Reliability (AMR) and Asset Capability (AC) objectives.
- Provide technical support for plant operations.
- Analyze maintenance feedback, plant performance, and equipment breakdowns.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and help with maintenance budget preservation.
- Assist in developing maintenance strategies and repair procedures.
- Perform root cause analysis and develop remedial actions for equipment failures.
- Implement improvement projects and develop quality control plans for equipment repairs.
Requirements:
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, leadership, productivity focus, technical capability, initiative, and assertiveness.
- Other: Computer literacy and a willingness to learn and take responsibility for personal development.
Additional Information:
- Appointments will be made in accordance with diversity targets.
