Position: Experiential Learner: Mechanical Engineer/Technologist

Location: Sasolburg
Business Unit: Maintenance Facility Team

Reporting To: Maintenance Leader

Qualifications:

• Required: Mechanical Engineering (BENG/BSc(Hons) Eng, N Dip, or B-Tech)
• Experience: None (recent graduates with no work experience are encouraged to apply)

Responsibilities:

• Support Asset Mechanical Reliability (AMR) and Asset Capability (AC) objectives.
• Provide technical support for plant operations.
• Analyze maintenance feedback, plant performance, and equipment breakdowns.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and help with maintenance budget preservation.
• Assist in developing maintenance strategies and repair procedures.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop remedial actions for equipment failures.
• Implement improvement projects and develop quality control plans for equipment repairs.

Requirements:

• Skills: Strong interpersonal, leadership, productivity focus, technical capability, initiative, and assertiveness.
• Other: Computer literacy and a willingness to learn and take responsibility for personal development.
