Start Date of Metro Police and Traffic Officer Learnership Program: June 1, 2025
Training will last 18 months, ending on November 30, 2026.
Hourly allowance: R34.91

Learnership Conditions
- Grade 12 qualification, for which supporting documentation is required
- Maintain a permanent residence in Cape Town.
- Br knowledgeable in at least one official language and English
- Students and EPWP employees are eligible to apply if they are currently unemployed.
- be less than 35 and at least 18 years old.
- To participate in demanding physical training, one must be in good physical and medical health.
- Teamwork and the ability to handle pressure are essential.
- No criminal history
- A valid driver’s license is required, with minimum code B (manual transmission).
- The Road Traffic Law Enforcement Further Education and Training Certificate and the Law Enforcement Skills Program SP4/2012 must be successfully completed by trainees.
- No visible tattoos while wearing any of the service uniforms.
