Training Facilitator: Culinary Studies
Key Responsibilities Training Facilitator:
1. Facilitate Training Sessions: Conduct training sessions in-person or virtually using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
2. Co-ordinate: theoretical, practical and workplace components.
3. Develop Training Materials: Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and update training materials, including presentations, handouts, exercises, and assessments.

4. Customise Content: Tailor training content to meet the specific needs of different audiences.
5. Evaluate Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, evaluations, and post-training assessments.
6. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on culinary industry trends and best practices in training facilitation and incorporate them into training programs.
7. Support Learning Initiatives: Assist in the design and implementation of new learning initiatives and programs to support organisational goals.
8. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with managers, and industry to identify training needs and develop appropriate solutions.
Qualifications and Recommendations:
• Relevant Culinary Qualification.
• Proven experience as a Training Facilitator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms.
• Certification in training facilitation, assessment and moderation practices is a plus.
• Experience with Health and Safety Audits.
• Good administration, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literate (word, excel, power point).
• Valid Driver’s licence
• Willingness to learn South African sign language
