DUTIES : Distribute water in accordance with managers’ instructions. Perform routine maintenance on the canals, pipelines, and river outlets of the Government Waterworks. Open sluices to distribute water to water users on the Government Waterworks. Clear water plants, grass and green growth in channels, grimy trenches, and
wastage by irrigators. Take care of issues with canal obstacles.
Conduct a routine, general inspection. Sand and stones should be removed from water pipes, canals, and river outlets. Keep check plates clean. Keep the measuring box’s open inlet hole. Report defects and look for cracks in measuring structures. Draw a line above the gauge plate. In accordance with the rules of the scheme, report irregularities. Keep buildings and their surroundings clean. Maintain good conditions for the embankments, and holes are reported. It is necessary to report stagnant water on the embankments.
Lead minor support of waterways,
estimating designs, floodgates, and bondages. Make sure the numbers on the sluices are clearly painted. Keep lattices clean and fix minor wastes of time. Make sure that property and equipment are kept safely. Lock storerooms and keep equipment safe in the stores. Maintain an up-to-date register and update the records of administration.
