REQUIREMENTS :

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the post-specific tasks of the job. They must have a Grade 10 qualification and a valid driver’s license for light vehicles. They should possess basic literacy, numeracy and communication abilities and be able to read and write.

Being willing to work extra hours when needed is also necessary. Fluency in at least two languages, one of which has to be English, is required as well as being a South African citizen with no criminal convictions or pending cases. Applicants will go through vetting which includes security screening and fingerprint verification.


DUTIES : Core Functions: Maintaining an accurate register of documentation received and delivered daily; making photocopies of collected documents; collecting and delivering mail; keeping all documents confidential; recording circulars received and sent out; managing human resources, financial resources, logistical resources allocated to the post properly.

Original documents of shortlisted candidates will need to be presented during selection process upon request and qualifications/driver’s licenses provided will go through verification with relevant institutions while SAPS will also verify residential address and conduct reference checks before appointment according to Public Service Act 1994 (Act No 103). Candidates who are short-listed for a position may be required to complete a personal interview and practical assessment. References will be checked for each applicant, and those being considered for certain posts will be vetted according to the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act, 2007 (Act No 32 of 2007) and the Children’s Act, 2005 (Act No 38 of 2005).

Offenders listed on either the National Register for S*x Offenders or Part B of the Child Protection Register will not be eligible. Fingerprint screening is also mandatory. If an individual is successful in their application they will receive a notification; if no contact has been made within 3 months of applying then it should be assumed that their application was unsuccessful.
